Interests
John loved life, and he had many interests to keep him busy. He loved music, and he loved stereo equipment and gadgets. He was always trading or buying new things for his system.
He loved motorcycles and wanted one of his own for years. In 1987, we bought his Triumph. My brother did the custom paint job on the tank:
He was always interested in tattoos, and he had several. This one was one of his favorites.
One of his pet projects before he died was his Chevelle. He had a 1970 Chevy Chevelle which he painstakingly restored, a bit at a time, with help from many of his friends.
He bought the Chevelle from his friend, Jody Durnan. Eventually, John died in his Chevelle.
John also had bought a 1947 Chevy 7-window, short-box, step-side pickup that he was in the process of restoring. He and his friends spent many long hours in our garage working on that truck. I never got any pictures of it. When John died, I gave the truck to his sister and her husband. They had plans to finish the restoration on it. Unfortunately, the truck never got finished.
